Something about this time of year!

Even with all the cranky shoppers and sales people, I can get back in my car listen to Christmas music and drive around to look at all the pretty lights and all the humbugs melt away! Hearing Lorelai in the back scream to the top of her lungs jingle "balls" also puts a big smile on my face!! Another good thing about this time of year is sweaters that feel like blankets!






I love this little girl so much:) this is her "cheese " smile lol every time I go to take a picture!

Proved wrong !

I've never ever spent more than 12 dollars for any kind of make-up before, I thought 10 dollars for a bottle of foundation was expensive and 8 dollars for one eye shadow was nuts! But my husband loves to spoil me ( no complaints there!!) One of my Christmas presents was a trip to Saphora (I have NEVER been there before!) Let me tell ya it's life changing, ok more like beauty products changing because once you get the good stuff your not going to want to go back!

This is the Laura Mercier tented moisturizer, it's the best light weight coverage I've tried! I normally don't wear make-up because I feel to done up and want to scratch it off. Not this stuff, I can't tell it's even on!

This one is where the magic happens! It's Laura Mercier mineral lose powder it makes my skin flawless almost! It's so soft!

This Monday was pretty good actually, did some last min Christmas shopping (that's always good!) Our mall has this little train you can ride all around the mall and God forbid you steep in the mall without letting my daughter ride it! We have fun tho and she loves it so it's worth it!

I was trying to decide what to wear today and thought to myself you know those countless pins on pinterest that you never really do anything with, lets go through and see if I can finally use one! I think it's pretty close for being straight from my closet!

Jingle bell rock

Party animals, we went to my church's Christmas party this weekend and Lorelai had so much fun she woke up the next day asking to do it again! She loved getting really dressed up and picking out her dress! Then on Sunday we baked Christmas cookies and she decorated the tree(well for a couple minutes until she gave up, them darn ornaments kept falling off!)

Creepy or flattering?

As I'm walking through target I have this strange feeling someone's following me, I look behind me and there is two girls. I don't pay attention as I browse the clearance section and bam there they are again .... I start walking again and I hear (not quietly) "I can't help it when I see a really cute outfit I have to follow the person for a little bit" I just smiled a little and hid for awhile in the little girl's section! I liked my outfit today but I didn't think it was stalking worthy! I was even debating on posting it! So i figured this story was to funny not to, I do tho feel like something is missing from my outfit tho!

Some of my new found favorite things!

I was never one to buy a bunch of beauty products, just the basics. But as I get a little older I'm realizing that I need to take better care of my skin! As it gets closer to the new year it makes me happy I kept my new years resolution, NO MORE TANNING BEDS!!! I'm kinda liking my original skin color! So these days I'm using more than just shampoo to wash my face and I can see a BIG difference! Another thing that's high on my priority list of beauty products is moisturizer, I've always used this but not twice a day like you should! (Finding the right one for me has been challenging, some are way to heavy for my face I found olay complete for sensitive skin is perfect for me!)
So let's talk about how amazing this mia clarisonic face washer is! I have never felt my skin this soft and felt clean for hours! I'm currently trying the philosophy brand, I'm loving so far and excited to try more products! The lip balm I have pictured is called eso, never heard of it but my little girl grabbed it in line at the register and I decided to get it because it was organic but it has healed my dry cracked lips faster than anything and it taste so good (added bonus I don't have to worry to much about what I'm ingesting when I lick it because it's organic!) I'm addicted to this shampoo and conditioner it makes my hair so soft! I also use the oil that goes with it to make my hair healthier and stronger!


I would love to hear what your favorite beauty products are! Beauty stores are overwhelming to me, there's so much stuff to look through! I listen with a open mind to the people who work there because they are trying to sell a product but some genuinely want to help!

Your killing me smalls

Really 65 in December?! You think I would be use to this Ohio weather! Mondays are boring, and always bad. I don't know if it's me thinking they will be bad that turns them out this way, or if they are always just meant to be bad? Hopefully I see some snow soon, I really want to wear my new sweater! In the mean time it gave me a chance to wear my new flannel. I really love this flannel because it has tiny details that makes it stand out from my others! I mean come on it has elbow patches! I have so many heels and dress shoes but don't get to wear them very much anymore because they are a little hard to chase after a two year old in! So these wedged shoes are perfect to spunk up my outfit a little, plus they are very comfortable!

Perfect Saturdays go to fast!

I thought it was time to get the good camera out and have a mini photo shoot with my little girl! It's always fun to dress up and take pictures! Then after we went to the cheesecake factory for a very yummy dinner and a little bit of shopping! My husband spoiled me with a trip to ultra beauty (I'm in love with this store!) I got a few things that I will post in a blog later, it's always nice to pamper yourself once in awhile! Then I got home and my sweater I have been waiting for months to get came in the mail! It's beautiful and I can't wait to wear it!!

Scaredy cat!

I've always always loved stripes, but way to scared to wear them! I just never thought I could pull them off....Back in the sixth grade I remember being so excited getting ready for a new school and being much closer to high school, I decided it was time to give up my brothers shirts and carpenter pants(yes I know it's sad, and what's worse I paired this gorgeous ensemble with spice girl style platform shoes! I can't bring myself to look at most of those pictures!) My mom took me school shopping and it was time for a new me and new style.... I saw this outfit on the mannequin and decided I had to have it! It was a pair of sparkly bell bottom jeans and a striped polo (YIKES!!!!!) I didn't try this on and let me tell you it looked horrible on my body type (back then I was very chubby!!) I didn't know anything about fashion and body types back then, I just thought it was cool because all the popular kids had this style of clothes. I wore it to school and got made fun of so badly it's taken me almost 12 years to brave the stripes again lol! But this sweater has become one of my favorites!

Christmas came a little early!

I got a early Christmas present today (no arguments there!) My beautiful Frye boots are down for the moment until I can get them professionally fixed. I only got to wear them four times and already need them to be fixed( to be expected with a two year old!) The other week we was out to Sunday dinner and my little girl spilled pop on them, I must of missed two little spots because it set in and left stains. I did my research made some calls and did what everyone told me to and ended up making the problem worse (I cried, literally cried!)
But I found a local leather repair shop who has high recommendations! On the other hand right after I got my Frye boots I saw another pair of boots and just fell in love with them! I never thought that this would happen but my husband is pretty sweet and decided to get them for me for Christmas because of what happened to my Frye boots, they are more sturdy and better to wear more often plus they have a warranty! I can't wait to start styling them with all my outfits! I already love these boots!!!

The days of juice box dates!

So my little girl has her first "boyfriend" (a friend that's a boy lol) It all stated her first Christmas, we was at the church Christmas party and she was dressed in a Mrs clause dress and he was dressed like Santa! It was "love" at first sight and they have been pretty close since then! This morning they we're extra cute sitting together sharing animal crackers and juice,i just had to snap a picture! I wanted to get more pictures of my little girl because her outfit and hair(finally able to braid it yay!!!) was so cute today but she was to busy playing! My outfit isn't dressy or anything, as much as I love to dress up unfortunately my health doesn't corporate with what days I feel good (I'm just glad my church is down to earth and a lot of people wear jeans!) I love a big sweater and jeans that stretch, I added a pair of boots with a little heel to dress it up a little!

Or according to my little girl happy birthday? I don't know who's, but when she woke up I told her happy Thanksgiving so at the top of her lungs she sings happy birthday (her favorite song of course!) My daughter is usually a good eater but she wasn't a fan of turkey this year so driving between families we had to search for someplace open that had chicken nuggets! (Not a easy task let me tell ya!) All in all it was a good Thanksgiving, I just can't believe it's already passed and now the rush of getting Christmas ready is on! I'm not in love with the picture of my outfit but i had to post at least one because my whole outfit including shoes and necklace was only $30!!! The shirt was tj maxx clearance (has a small but fixable hole) for only $5, the pants are target clearance for $5!!! Shoes(sorry you can't see them) and necklace are forever 21 both $10

Who's making fun now!

<p>&lt;p&gt;I've worn glasses since I was five! Let me tell you back then it wasn't as cool as it is now and they weren't as complimenting back then either! I'm glad they came in popularity because that means better choices for me (contacts are out, my eyesight is to bad) but on the other hand I'm like hey I've had this nerdy look down for many years now! Oh well I get that feeling a lot when you've tried something out and you feel like you started a trend but you know your one small person in a really small town and a lot of people probably had the same idea! That's a long winded way of saying I had to wear glasses most my life and got made fun of, and wore a similar outfit in this post in high school and was told blazer's and jeans don't go together but now it's all the trend! This is also coming from the girl who dissed high heels and jeans (i know right) now i love pairing it together any chance I get to class up jeans! My daughter had to wear her cute little blazer with her Levis how cute so I had to take her out to dinner in her outfit (can't say no when it's kids est free at applebees!)

Biker chic or just lazy!

No doubt about it my daughter is to freaking cute in her pink cowgirl boots and biker leather jacket! But my outfit feels a little lazy oh well I'm comfortable in my cool converse shoes and comfy jeans :) These are the jeans I got at AE for $15! I will confess i didn't need them i have over 20 pairs of jeans ranging from Hudson's, Henry & belle, rock revival, big stars and miss me (i have a jeans obsession) but who can say no to a comfy pair of jeans that are my length for 15 bucks? (It doesn't happen to me very often) I also found this black shirt on clearance for 10 dollars, I have a thing for a good fitting black shirt!
